I will be joining as a doctoral student within the SPLAIM project, focusing on the security and privacy of locally deployed AI systems. I will be exploring different techniques for this, such as parameter-efficient fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and hardware-aware optimization. In addition, I will be assisting in several courses on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
Over the past few years, I have completed my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science at Leiden University in The Netherlands. I wrote my Master’s Thesis on vulnerability detection using LLMs in collaboration with TNO, a Dutch institute for applied scientific research. Additionally, I have been a teaching assistant for four years, supporting courses in cybersecurity and programming. Furthermore, I have co-developed an extracurricular Bachelor’s course on cybersecurity in practice, where students learn the fundamentals of ethical hacking using Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges, and explore responsible disclosure when investigating real systems.
Besides following the fast-moving AI and cybersecurity landscapes, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, and going for the occasional run. I’m also really looking forward to exploring the beautiful nature around Karlstad.
